# Glitchless vs Roblox's analytics: what each tells you about your experience

> Glitchless (glitchless.gg) and Roblox's own tools compared for Roblox developers: the Creator Hub's analytics, performance dashboard, Error Report and alerts, AnalyticsService funnels and events, the Open Cloud APIs, Studio's MCP server and the MicroProfiler. Frame times and stutter causes, server heartbeat, errors, funnels, retention and coding agents, checked November 2026.

Roblox gives every experience free analytics on the Creator Hub: engagement, retention, monetization, acquisition and audience, with benchmarks against similar games. Its performance dashboard charts client frame rate, crash rate, memory and CPU time and the servers' frame rate and memory, split by platform, OS and place version, with alerts to a webhook. The Error Report lists client and server errors with stack traces, and `AnalyticsService` adds your own funnels, economy and custom events. Agents can read the same numbers through Open Cloud, including from Studio's MCP server.

It's built around averages and percentiles across the experience. The performance charts and alerts start at 100 daily active users, the API keeps performance data for 28 days, and analytics events count only from servers in published games. None of it looks inside a session: which stutter a player hit and what caused it, what they did before an error, or whether the players who quit at a step had lagged first. Roblox's fall 2026 roadmap promises an observability platform with a session browser for late 2026.

Glitchless records each session on players' devices and on your game servers from the first play test, names the likely cause of each stutter, groups errors with the events before them, ties both to your levels, and gives your coding agent all of it over MCP. Keep the Creator Hub for retention, Robux revenue and acquisition; add Glitchless for what went wrong in a session and why.

## Which one should you choose?

### Choose Roblox's analytics if

- You want retention, Robux revenue, acquisition and audience numbers for the whole experience, with benchmarks, at no cost and with nothing to install.
- Your experience has more than 100 daily active users and you want alerts when frame rate, crash rate or server frame rate cross a line.
- You want error counts and stack traces from client and server scripts, filtered by platform and version.
- You're tuning one server or one client live: the MicroProfiler and Developer Console show every frame of the session in front of you.

### Choose Glitchless if

- Your experience is new or small, and the performance dashboard is still empty.
- You want to know why a session lagged: each stutter with its likely cause, on which map and device, and whether the server's heartbeat dropped at the same time.
- You want to see what a player did before an error, and the step where players quit next to the lag and errors in those sessions.
- Your coding agent does the fixing: Glitchless's MCP server gives it each session's evidence, not only averages, and you compare the next place version with real players.
- You make games in other engines too, and want them in one place.

### Using both

Most Roblox experiences should. Keep the Creator Hub for retention, Robux revenue and acquisition, its alerts once you pass 100 daily active users, and the Error Report for a quick look at errors after an update. Add Glitchless for what happened in each session and why, from the first play test, and for your coding agent. `AnalyticsService` funnels and Glitchless's levels can mark the same steps: call both where your server decides a player reached one.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Roblox show why my game lags?

Partly. The performance dashboard charts client and server frame rate, CPU time and memory across the experience, split by platform, OS and place version, and the MicroProfiler shows what one session spent each frame on. Neither says which stutters players hit in their sessions and what caused them. Glitchless names the likely cause of each stutter (assets still loading, a burst of new instances, physics, rendering or scripts) across every session.

### Why is my performance dashboard empty?

Roblox shows the client and server charts, and allows alerts, once an experience has at least 100 daily active users. The rest of the analytics dashboard needs more than 10 daily active users and 10 play hours for 7 days in a row. Glitchless records from the first play test, so a new or small experience has numbers too.

### Does the Error Report show what players did before an error?

No. It shows each error's message and stack trace with counts, filtered by place, severity, platform, OS and version, and it doesn't link an error to a player or a session. Glitchless keeps the game's last events before each error and ties errors to the session, the level and the lag around them.

### Can my coding agent read Roblox's analytics?

Yes, as aggregates. Open Cloud's analytics API (in beta) returns the dashboard's metrics, and Studio's MCP server can call it with your permission, so an agent can check how an update did. It gets the same averages and percentiles you see, with 28 days of performance history. Glitchless's MCP server gives it each session's frame times, stutters, errors, the servers' heartbeat and the level funnel.

### Isn't Roblox building this?

Its fall 2026 roadmap lists an observability platform for late 2026: a session browser, client logs joined to server logs, and performance captures from players. If it ships, Roblox's own tools will cover more of a session. Glitchless's other differences stay: stutter causes, your levels next to the lag, your game in the same place as games in other engines, and a server you can run yourself.
