Roblox analytics and error tracking tools
The Glitchless team · November 6, 2026 · Roblox experiences, checked against each tool's docs, pricing and SDK on 6 November 2026
Every Roblox experience already has free analytics on the Creator Hub, and in 2026 Roblox added a lot: performance charts and alerts, an Error Report with stack traces, per-server logs, and an Open Cloud API that agents can read through Studio's MCP server. A handful of third-party tools add what Roblox doesn't: GameAnalytics and PostHog have official Roblox SDKs, Gamebeast started on Roblox, Sentry works through a community SDK, and Glitchless has a Luau module for players' devices and game servers.
They mostly answer different questions. This page sorts them by what they record in a Roblox experience, so you can pick one for each question rather than one for everything.
The short answer
- Roblox's Creator Hub and AnalyticsService for retention, Robux revenue, acquisition and the whole experience's frame rate, crashes and errors, free. Performance charts and alerts start at 100 daily active users.
- GameAnalytics for free-to-play KPIs, Robux purchases, progression and A/B tests, free with no cap on players. Its Roblox SDK sends no frame rate.
- Gamebeast for analytics, remote configs, A/B tests and deeplinks that your agent can run over MCP.
- PostHog (Roblox SDK in beta) for product analytics, feature flags and experiments next to your website's.
- Sentry, through the community sentry-roblox SDK, for client and server errors in the Sentry you already use.
- Glitchless for why sessions lag and break: every frame on players' devices with each stutter's likely cause, each server's heartbeat, errors with the events before them, and where players quit, for your coding agent.

Roblox's own tools
Start here: they're free, already on, and they're the only place for Roblox's own numbers, like Robux revenue, acquisition and benchmarks against similar games.
- Analytics dashboard: engagement, retention, monetization, acquisition and audience, from more than 10 daily active users. Charts export to CSV, and custom dashboards can be shared with your team.
- Performance dashboard: client frame rate (average or P10, P50 and P90), crash rate, memory and CPU time, and the servers' frame rate, CPU time and memory, by platform, OS and place version. It needs 100 daily active users, and Open Cloud keeps 28 days of it. Alerts on these metrics post to a webhook.
- Error Report: client and server errors and warnings with stack traces, grouped by your own rules, up to 500 unique errors every 6 hours. It doesn't link an error to a player or a session.
- AnalyticsService: funnel, journey, economy and custom events, sent from servers in published games only, up to 100 custom event names with 3 fields each, charted within a day. Progression events don't show in any Roblox chart yet.
- Developer Console, MicroProfiler and Script Profiler: one live session in detail, on the client or the server.
- Agents: Studio's MCP server can read the dashboards' numbers through Open Cloud, with your permission.
What it doesn't do yet is look inside a session: which stutter a player hit and why, what they did before an error, or whether the players who quit at a funnel step had lagged. Roblox's fall 2026 roadmap promises an observability platform with a session browser for late 2026. Glitchless vs Roblox's analytics goes row by row.
GameAnalytics
GameAnalytics' official Roblox SDK runs on your server and records progression, design, resource and business events, turning Robux purchases of game passes and developer products into revenue by itself, with retention, funnels, A/B tests and remote config. It catches script errors from the server and players' devices, up to 10 an hour for each message. It identifies players by their Roblox user ID.
It sends no frame rate or performance data on Roblox: the SDK has no health events. Its MCP server is read only and paid. Glitchless vs GameAnalytics for Roblox has the details.
Gamebeast
Gamebeast started on Roblox and now has SDKs for Unity, Unreal, Godot and the web too. Your game sends markers, which become charts, funnels, retention, heatmaps and cohorts, next to remote configs, A/B tests and deeplinks with attribution. Its MCP server is on every plan and can change configs and run experiments, not only read. Its docs list nothing on frame times, stutters or errors. See Glitchless vs Gamebeast.
PostHog
PostHog's official Roblox SDK is in beta (0.2.1, released 4 November 2026). It runs on the server, with LocalScripts passing their calls through a RemoteEvent, and covers events, feature flags, experiments and error tracking. It's a good fit if your studio already runs PostHog for a website or an app. It records no frame times or performance data. See Glitchless vs PostHog.
Sentry
Sentry has no official Roblox SDK. The community one, sentry-roblox (BSD-2, 1.3.0 in October 2026), sends client and server errors and warnings with their stack traces to your Sentry project. Sentry's own sentry-lua project lists Roblox but calls itself a hackweek project Sentry doesn't support. Errors only: no frame times or gameplay events. See Glitchless vs Sentry.
Tools that look related but aren't
- RoMonitor Stats, Rotrends and RTrack show public numbers about experiences (players, visits, trends), not what happens inside yours.
- Super Biz (formerly Bloxbiz) had an analytics SDK; it's winding down its self-serve platform and has closed new sign-ups.
- PlayFab: Roblox stopped onboarding new experiences to it in 2022, and
AnalyticsService:FireEventis deprecated.
Which to use together
Keep the Creator Hub whatever else you pick: it's free and has numbers nobody else can see. Then add one tool for each question you can't answer:
- Why does it lag, and for whom? Glitchless.
- Why did that error happen, and what was the player doing? Glitchless; Sentry or GameAnalytics if you only need counts and stack traces.
- Do players pay, come back, and which offer works? The Creator Hub, then GameAnalytics, Gamebeast or PostHog for A/B tests.
- Where do new players quit? AnalyticsService funnels, with Glitchless to tell you what went wrong at that step.
Every third-party tool on Roblox sends from your server with HttpService, which allows 500 requests a minute per server outside Open Cloud. Each one batches, but if you add several, check they fit together.
Where Glitchless fits
The Glitchless module for Roblox is the one tool here that measures how a session runs: every frame on every player's device with the likely cause of each stutter, each game server's heartbeat, late frames and memory, ping and loading time, and client and server errors with the events before them, all tied to your levels. It sends nothing that identifies a player.
Your coding agent reads it over MCP on every plan, including Free: glitchless_triage ranks problems by how many players they hit, glitchless_servers and glitchless_match tell a lagging server from a player's bad connection, and glitchless_compare_versions checks a fix with real players. See How to find lag in a Roblox experience and How to find where players quit.
Frequently asked questions
What analytics does Roblox give me for free?
Engagement, retention, monetization, acquisition and audience on the Creator Hub; a performance dashboard with frame rate, crashes, memory and server frame rate from 100 daily active users; an Error Report with stack traces; alerts; and AnalyticsService for your own funnels and events.
Which tool shows lag on players' devices in a Roblox game?
Roblox's performance dashboard shows frame rate across players as averages and percentiles, from 100 daily active users. Of the third-party tools here, only Glitchless measures each player's frames and names the likely cause of each stutter. GameAnalytics, Gamebeast, PostHog and sentry-roblox don't record frame rate on Roblox.
Is there an official Sentry SDK for Roblox?
No. Sentry's platform list has no Roblox SDK. The community sentry-roblox SDK sends errors and warnings from client and server scripts to Sentry.
Can my coding agent read Roblox analytics?
Yes. Studio's MCP server can call Roblox's Open Cloud analytics API with your permission, which returns the dashboards' aggregates. GameAnalytics (paid), Gamebeast and PostHog have MCP servers too, and Glitchless's covers each session's frames, errors, servers and levels on every plan.
